Consumer Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Nevada Health Solutions is committed to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion of our customers. We recognize that our consumers are very diverse in their age, race, religion, cultural, social, economic and education background. NHS strives to treat everyone equally. All employees of NHS have taken a course on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and take a relative course yearly. The Nevada State Board of Nursing requires 4 CEU’s in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to renew nursing license.

On our website under Nevada Health Solutions member rights it states “to get care without regard to sex, race, health status, color, age, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status or religion” and “to get information on available treatment options and alternatives presented in a manner and language that you understand.”

Realizing that a great number of our consumers speak Spanish, many of our employees are bilingual. We also utilize a language line for other languages. Our consumers have easy access to staff for any questions or concerns.
